Latest technology developments in biomass pellet and briquette production

Agenda

Biomass is a versatile energy source. Although predominantly produced from the forest harvesting and processing sectors, there is increased supply of biomass from agriculture as well as municipal waste. The diversity of the feedstock characteristics, coupled with the demand for a standard fuel for energy purposes, leads to increased need for efficient processing technologies.

Biomass processing technology has advanced rapidly over the past few years. Initially, the development took place in the animal feed industry due to the demand for densified biomass such as pellets and briquettes. As time progressed, the increased demand for efficient biomass for energy due to various policies in EU and around the world, has led to major developments in densification technologies. Nowadays, depending on local circumstances, biomass can be processed into a variety of processed feedstock – pellets, briquettes, bales etc.

In this regard, the World Bioenergy Association and Bioenergy International magazine are pleased to present this webinar. Leading global technology companies will share the latest developments in densification of biomass with active case studies from around the world.
